Dobratsch Circuit - Stage 2: Bad Bleiberg – Nötsch im Gailtal

The Dobratsch Circuit connects diverse landscapes, cultural highlights, and impressive views around Carinthia’s oldest nature park over five stages. Covering approximately 85 kilometres, 2,400 metres in elevation, and around 25 hours of walking time, hikers experience the full diversity of the region: from gentle valley sections and traditional villages to scenic high-altitude trails. The Dobratsch Circuit is thus an ideal experience for anyone who wants to discover the nature park in its entirety – step by step, stage by stage. Stage 2: Bad Bleiberg – Nötsch im Gailtal The second stage transitions from the northern side of the Dobratsch into the Lower Gail Valley, traversing very different landscapes. While the first section is still characterised by mining, you soon enter rural areas before descending into the shady Nötsch Gorge, at the end of which lies the friendly destination village. The fitting conclusion is the "Wiegele Haus," which houses the museum of the Nötsch Circle, a bakery, and a mill. The hike is accompanied by Naturpark rangers. A shuttle will take you back to the starting point, with a return around 5:30 PM.
