The accompaniment of the dying and the approach to the end of life have been discussed in Austria for many years. On 11.12.2020, the Constitutional Court (VfGH) announced its decision that the prohibition of any form of assistance in suicide is unconstitutional. It violates the individual's right to free self-determination. In this seminar, you will learn how assisted dying is discussed in Austria, what the current legal situation stipulates, and what the VfGH's decision means for nursing professions.
